Abstract

This report presents the highlights of recently completed studies of the contributions to industrial development of science and technology institutions in three developing nations. Common problems encountered in the three countries and innovative approaches in addressing such problems have been of special interest. The details of the country studies are presented in three companion reports. A fifth report describes the methodology that was developed for analyzing science and technology capabilities within the countries.
