Studies of Extratropical Cyclonic Storms (The CYCLES PROJECT).

Abstract

The organization of mesoscale rainbands with respect to synoptic fronts in extratropical cyclones is described. Airflow patterns, microphysical structures, and precipitation producing mechanisms in various rainbands have been documented. (Author)
