Production Methodology for the Validation of Electronic Fuzes

Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the concept of validating the producibility of equipment during its development by use of prototype fabrication. Discussions in this report include the semiconductor and thick film areas as well as printed circuit electronic and environmental testing. Also discussed are mechanical fabrication, computer support technology, and fuze assembly equipment and techniques. The equipment and facility requirements are presented, operating procedures and costs are enumerated, and a five-year plan for implementation of this facility is presented.
