Prototype Heavy Rescue/Fire Fighting Vehicle

Abstract

The objectives were to: design, construct, and equip a prototype vehicle with heavy rescue and/or fire fighting capabilities (prototype includes both capabilities); research and define the most effective payload requirements; employ contemporary engineering practices through all phases of construction, allowing for total or partial buildup by locals; and test and evaluate vehicle. The end result product of this contract is a non-complex, dual-function vehicle. It combines heavy rescue and fire fighting capability into a single unit.
