Optimality Measures for Monotone Equivariant Cluster Techniques.

Abstract

Several commonly used optimality measures are compared and classified as to their performance with monotone equivariant cluster techniques. A new measure is introduced and compared to the earlier measures. The measures are then applied to determining the optimality of several cluster techniques when they are applied to some concrete data that arises from the psychological and social sciences. (Author)
