Field-Effect Transisttors to Detect Chemical Warfare Agents in Aircraft.
Abstract
Assessed here is the feasibility of utilizing four types of chemically sensitive field-effect transistors (CHEMFETs) as possible candidates for aircraft chemical warfare agent detectors. Analyzed is the integration of chemically sensitive polymers with the field-effect transistor structure. Attention is focused on the design criteria of sensitivity, time response, reversibility, shelf life, operational life, and compactness. Pertinent bibliographic references are included. (Author)
