A Pollution Abatement Concept; Minimum Solvents List of Solvent Cleaners Recommended for Use at the Naval Air Rework Facilities.

Abstract

There are many different types of solvents used for cleaning applications by the Navy. Studies indicate that, in some instances, several kinds of solvents are used individually for the same cleaning processes. To achieve the pollution abatement parameter, a study was conducted to determine the feasibility of minimizing the number of solvents for cleaning operations of the Naval facilities. The study has resulted in the establishment of a recommended minimum solvents list for use by Naval Air Rework Facilities (NAVAIREWORKFACS). (Author)
