Computer-Based Weather Research.

Abstract

This report details meteorological research conducted by Systems and Applied Sciences Corporation in several areas: development of a limited-area Numerical Weather Prediction model; comparative test of wind sets; development of mesoscale forecasting software for McIDAS; improvement in satellite data brightness analysis techniques. Also, McIDAS hardware and software capabilities were upgraded and used to support field research activities. (Author)
