Heat Exchanger Cleaning in Support of Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) - Mechanical Subsystem.

Abstract

This report describes the mechanical systems supporting biofouling countermeasures for Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC). Described in the report are the water supply and distribution and the flow driven brush, recirculating sponge rubber ball, and chlorination systems. In addition, the maintenance procedures utilized at the NCSC test site are provided. (Author)
