Abstract

This report describes an occupational survey of the Aircraft Maintenance and Munitions utilization field, AFSs 401X, 402X, 405XA, 405XB and 409X. The purpose of the occupational survey was to assess the jobs and tasks performed by Aircraft Maintenance and Munitions officers and to provide an objective description of the personnel resource which will aid in a variety of management decisions affecting such areas as recruiting, classification, training and career planning. Specifically, this report describes the methods used to collect occupational data from the Aircraft Maintenance and Munitions officer population and the analysis of the occupational data.
