Nonlinear Model Identification from Operating Records.

Abstract

Two basic response error (RE) model-reference adaptive system (MRAS) identifiers are derived for nonlinear model identification without advance knowledge of the nonlinearities. The methods are developed and shown to be applicable for systems with input and output measurement noise. Design consideration, comparison of linear and nonlinear model fits to a nonlinear plant are given. The applicability of such an approach for the human operator model are discussed. (Author)
