MERADCOM/OSU Assessment and Rating of the Contaminant Sensitivity of Relief Valves.

Abstract

The purpose of this research effort is to develop a new test and evaluation method for the contaminant sensitivity of fluid power pressure relief valves. This report contains the background research, test development, and test verification results which were conducted during the contract period. Also included is the proposed SAE standard procedure for relief valve contaminant sensitivity verification which has been developed. Finally, a new rating method for the contaminant sensitivity of relief valves is presented. (Author)
