TNT Purification Studies. Task I. Comparative Cost Study of Purification Methods

Abstract

This project was initiated to provide cost data for three most promising methods of purifying TNT. The methods considered include nitric acid crystallization (followed by isomer separation via the Brodie Process), magnesium sulfite (followed by recovery of MgO for recycle) and Sellite (followed by chemical recovery via the Sonoco Process.)
