An Analysis of the Vertical Distribution of Ozone in the Atmosphere.

Abstract

An analysis of vertical ozone distributions in the atmosphere is presented in tabular and graphical form for altitudes up to 25 kilometers. Histograms and concentrations probabilities are used to quantify the ozone distribution. The analysis is limited to the consideration of the probabilities of ozone concentration occurrence obtained by lumping the data for all times and locations. Limitations are discussed, and recommendations are made with regard to further analysis for the determination of concentration variations with location and time. (Author)
