M-X Environmental Technical Report. Environmental Characteristics of Alternative Designated Deployment Areas, Wildlife.

Abstract

For this report wildlife is broadly categorized into game and nongame animals. The most abundant and economically important game animals are the hooved mammals and upland game birds, and these are treated throughout their ranges in Nevada and western Utah. The remaining game (primarily furbearers) and nongame coverage is that recreationally important game species may be impacted by the project, either directly or indirectly, wherever they occur in or near the study area, while furbearers and nongame species are most likely to be affected only in the valleys used for deployment.
