On the E-Optimality of Certain PBIB Designs.

Abstract

It is shown that several families of PBIB designs are E-optimal over the collection of all block designs. Among these, the partial geometries with two associate classes are shown. The duals of these designs are also E-optimal. When uniform on rows, these designs remain E-optimal in the additive setting of two way elimination of heterogeneity.
