Design and Real-Time Implementation of a Robust APC Coder for Speech Transmission over 16 Kb/s Noisy Channels. Volume II. Real-Time Implementation.

Abstract

This report describes the design and development of a real-time robust APC speech coder that transmits high-quality speech over a 16 kb/s channel with bit-error rates of up to 1%. This volume (Vol. II) describes the implementation of the optimized adaptive predictive coding algorithm as a full-duplex real-time speech coder on the CSP Inc. MAP-300 array processing computer. The report documents in detail the MAP-300 program, and it includes complete listings of the real-time coder program. (Author)
