The Pulse Transmission Mode Laser.

Abstract

The Pulse Transmission Mode (PTM) laser has been examined as a possible laser for the WRELADS system under development at the Electronic Research Laboratories of DRCS. In particular the PTM laser offers a means of generating the short pulses (5 ns FWHM) required by the system but its output is limited by gain saturation to < 40 millijoule. (Author)
