Positive Ion Photodissociation.

Abstract

Photodissociation of a variety of hydrocarbon ions and other ions of atmospheric interest was examined, both to obtain optical-spectroscopic, and also structural information. Techniques for obtaining time- and wavelength-resolved fluorescence information about ions were applied to several species. Multiphoton photodissociation of polyatomic ions with visible and infrared CW lasers was investigated. (Author)
