Utility of Lasswell Value Analysis in Automated Behavioral Intelligence (ABI). Revision 1
Abstract
This report investigates the utility of employing a social science technique known as Lasswell Value Analysis within the context of Automated Behavioral Intelligence -- the use of advanced techniques to analyze policy- relevant traits of foreign decision-makers. Trial application of value analysis was made to speeches and policy actions of two North African political leaders. The report findings indicate that value analysis should be useful to Automated Behavioral Intelligence and other intelligence analyses, but the development of the full extent of the utility requires application of value analysis to a number of culturally-diverse decision-makers.
