Towards Fault-Tolerant Optimal Control,

Abstract

Questions regarding the design of fault-tolerant controllers that may endow systems with dynamic reliability are addressed. Results for jump linear quadratic Gaussian (JLQG) control problems are extended to include random jump costs, trajectory discontinuities, and a simple case of non-Markovian mode transitions.
