An Adaptation of the ADA Language for Machine Generated Compilers.

Abstract

The Ada language has been designated by the Department of Defense to replace the computer languages currently in use by the various services for tactical computer programs. This thesis modifies the Cornell Subset of Ada so that it is suitable for producing the LALR(1) grammar. Machine generated compiling tools such as LEX and YACC, available under the UNIX operating system, are then used to implement the scanner and the parser for this subset of Ada. (Author)
