The Development and Application of Novel Methods for the Solution of EMP Shielding Problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to summarize the electromagnetic research that was performed through the support of AFOSR. The problems worked on pertain to EMP shielding theory and deal with (a) the transmission of electromagnetic waves through small apertures, (b) the propagation of electromagnetic waves through chiral media, (c) the steady state and transient electromagnetic coupling through slabs, and (d) the pondermotive forces and torques produced by electromagnetic waves.
