Photoferroelectric Image Storage in PLZT Ceramics.

Abstract

The photosensitivity of lead lanthanum zirconate titanate (PLZT) ceramics is increased by as much as four orders of magnitude by implantation of inert gas ions in the image storage surface. The photoferroelectric image storage device can be used as a temporary image store, for contrast enhancement of the stored image, and for holographic storage. (Author)
