Soils of Israel and Their Similarity to Soils of the United States.

Abstract

This report compares the soils of Israel, particularly those of the Negev, with various sites in the southwestern United States. Comparison is made on the basis of agricultural maps because of the general availability of this type of information on a world wide basis. Even though the soil mapping units are in agricultural terms, they have been successfully used for nonagricultural purposes. (Author)
