Microprocessor Generated Vertical Gyrohorizon Instrument for the Blue Bird Simulator.

Abstract

An X-Y cathode ray tube display for use in a high-performance aircraft simulator facility as a Vertical Gyrohorizon Instrument was investigated. A microprocessor was used to generate the correct angle for the display corresponding to the analog equations of motion of the simulator. An unfavorable displayed result was obtained. Detailed conclusions and recommendations for further study are presented. (Author)
