Radar Bias Error Removal Algorithm for a Multiple-Site System

Abstract

An algorithm has been developed to estimate the bias errors in the measurements made at two separate radar sites. This was accomplished by considering the measurements made on several common tracks and by using the difference vector between the measurement as the input to a kalman filter to produce smoothed bias errors in range, azimuth, and elevation for each site. For purposes of this study the location of each site was assumed to be know exactly.
