The Impact of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980 on ADP in DoD.

Abstract

This report presents the findings and conclusions resulting from an impact study performed under a Long Range ADP Planning contract with the Directorate for Data Automation (Comptroller). The information and analysis of this study is intended to provide input into the DoD planning process in preparation for implementing the Law (96-511). The objectives of the study were: To assess DoD program planning status in the areas addressed within the Paperwork Reduction Act with particular emphasis on automatic data processing (ADP), automated information systems (AIS) and Life Cycle Management (LCM). To clarify the role of OSD in providing direction to the DoD Components and services in responding to the law. To identify DoD priorities for implementation of the provisions of the Law.
