The Stability of Pseudospectral-Chebyshev Methods.

Abstract

The stability of pseudospectral-Chebyshev methods is demonstrated for parabolic and hyperbolic problems with variable coefficients. The choice of collocation points is discussed. Numerical examples are given for the case of variable-coefficient hyperbolic equations. (Author)
