Chehalis River Floodplain Land Cover Mapping between Aberdeen and Montesano, Washington,

Abstract

The habitats in the Chehalis flood plain upstream of the Aberdeen Highway Bridge to Montesano were mapped using areal photographs and ground truthing. The habitats presented are classified, discussed, and the boundaries of each are plotted on the photographs. Data are given on the total coverage of each habitat type within the study area. The species of wildlife associated with, and human usage of, the habitats are also presented. (Author)
