Powder Characterization of Waterways Experiment Station NMFC 196500 Water Samples.
Abstract
The particulate matter of thirty water samples collected near the Waterway Experiment Station in Vicksburg, Mississippi, have been characterized. The investigation included ten samples from each of three different locations: the Mississippi River, Yazu River, and Brown's Lake. Characterization was conducted using particle size distributions, surface areas, scanning electron microscopy, differential thermal analysis, energy dispersive X-ray analysis, X-ray diffraction, and emission spectroscopy. Major differences were noted between all three powder populations.
