Night Performance of Combat Vehicles

Abstract

This test operations procedure report describes procedures for evaluating night performance of combat vehicles in the areas of mobility, interior illumination, fire control, and durability of illuminating components. Night fire control evaluation consists of prefiring and firing tests to determine the degradation due to darkness of the resolving power, target-detection range, weapon-laying and target-acquisition capabilities of the sighting systems, firing accuracy and dispersion.
