This report indicates a format, acceptable procedures, and suitable test plants for determining phytotoxicity of compounds used and/or released to the environment by the United States military. The objective of this report is threefold: (1) to be a guideline for developing phytotoxic protocols, (2) to define protocols that can be used in determining phytotoxicity in the laboratory and in the field, and (3) to be an information source on phytotoxicity.
