Research in Seismology (Attenuation and Source Mechanisms)

Abstract

The work during the final year of contract no. F44620-75-C-0064, Research in Seismology (Attenuation and Source Mechanism) is described. This is separated into four areas: Velocities and attenuation of surface waves in earth; Summary of crustal structure in the Middle East; Source properties of shallow earthquakes; and Three-dimensional crust-upper mantle models.
