Automated Partial-Discharge Testing of Traveling-Wave Tubes,

Abstract

A test system is described that is used in the Materials Sciences Laboratory to evaluate the quality of high-voltage insulation in traveling-wave tubes (TWTs). Evaluation is performed by quantitatively recording the occurrence of partial discharges during temperature cycling in vacuum for extended periods. (Author)
