Energetics of Ionization and Excitation Processes.

Abstract

We have made significant developments in the area of quantum chemical methodology. The majority of these developments were aimed at providing our group with state-of-the-art tools for use on the difficult chemical problems in which we are interested. Making use of our new theoretical tools, we have studied the electronic properties (stability, bonding character, shapes) of the ground and excited electronic states of several classes of molecular ions and novel reactive intermediates.
