A Proposal for an Australian Hydrodynamics Laboratory.

Abstract

To support and stimulate both naval and commercial ship design and construction there is a requirement, judged to be of sufficient magnitude and of a continuing nature, for a hydrodynamics research and testing facility in Australia. This report contains details of the requirements for the facility, the form it may take, and the type of equipment that would be needed to meet Australia's perceived needs in hydrodynamics research and development. The capital cost of the laboratory is estimated to be $27M spread over nine years, with running costs of $2M per annum. (Author)
