The Correlation of Fracture Toughness with Charpy V-Notch Impact Test Data

Abstract

Fracture toughness data is compared with the Charpy V-notch impact data. The applicability of various regression models for showing the relationship of KIc with other mechanical properties is examined for gun steel. The types of material were classified by steel maker, type of forging, and location within the tube.
