Proliferated Ground-Based, Long Wave, Transmitting Systems. Volume II. Antenna Subsystems.

Abstract

This volume presents an evaluation of the design, performance, deployment methods, and costs for alternative VLF/LF transmitting antenna concepts. The results and findings contained in this volume (Volume 2) are used to support the feasibility assessment and cost performance trade off of proliferated ground-based, long wave, transmitting systems which is presented in Volume 1. Although the antenna concept evaluation focuses upon communication system application, the fundamental deviations are also included to enable re-evaluation of the parameters for different system design alterations.
