Families in Crisis. The Families of Prisoners of War

Abstract

The report gives an overview of the longitudinal studies of the physical, psychosocial and family adjustment of the American prisoners of war returned from Southeast Asia in early 1973, being carried out at the Center for Prisoner of War Studies in San Diego. The article focuses primarily upon the relationship between the men's captivity experience and later family adjustments.
