Additive and Multiplicative Distortion Simulator for Non-Real Time Testing of HF Modems.

Abstract

A non-real time FORTRAN program has been developed to provide a simple, standardized means of applying uniform tests to various HF modem signals. The program stresses the modem signal in the same manner as would be experienced by operation on fading channels with tonal interference. Provisions are made for inserting various transmission filters and for operational scenarios that stress the doppler acquisition and tracking capabilities of a modem. (Author)
