Flood Plain Information, Tonawanda Creek and Its Affected Tributaries, Erie and Niagara Counties, New York.

Abstract

This report is intended to provide the basis for further study and planning on the part of local governments within the study area in arriving at solutions to minimize future flood damages. The report is based on hydrological facts, historical and recent flood heights, and other technical data bearing upon the occurrence and magnitude of floods in the Tonawanda Creek area. This flood plain information study covers the inundated areas along Tonawanda Creek and its affected tributaries from its confluence with the Niagara River to the easterly limit of Erie and Niagara Counties, New York.
