Flood Plain Information, Chittenango Creek, Bridgeport Onondaga and Madison Counties, New York.

Abstract

The objective of this report is to equip planners and local officials with data which will help result in effective and workable legislation for the control of land use within the flood Plain. Included in this report are maps, profiles, photographs, and a cross section which indicates the extent of flooding that has been experienced in the past and that which might be experienced in the future. The Chittenango Creek watershed forms a part of the Oswego River watershed. Its two main tributaries are Limestone and Butternut Creeks. This flood lain information study covers the area from the mouth at Oneida Lake to Oxbow Road which crosses Chittenango Creek at Creek Mile 7.04. (Author)
