Statistics of Casualties, 1979.

Abstract

The U.S. Coast Guard annually presents a statistical summary of commercial vessel casualties that were investigated by Coast Guard marine inspectors during the previous fical year. The public, industry, and the Coast Guard have used the findings of these investigations to establish standards and determine the need for legislation to improve the protection of safety of life and property at sea. This compilation includes statistical tables for 1963, 1965-71, and 1973-79.
