Operational Survivability in Gracefully Degrading Distributed Processing Systems.

Abstract

A simulator was designed and developed which will model possible distributed system network topologies, distributed system application topologies and their effect on application system performance as the configuration of the distributed system network is continuously and arbitrarily reduced. The objective of the model is to aid in development of a measure of survivability which can subsequently be used to evaluate and compare alternative distributed system designs for specific battlefield applications.
