Assessment of the Effectiveness and Effects of Land Disposal Methodologies of Waste Water Management.

Abstract

The principal goal of this study was to prepare a comprehensive assessment of the feasibility and effects of land disposal of secondary treated waste water composed of municipal and industrial waste discharges. The assessment is provided herewith in the form of a report which is designed as an educational document and is intended to be useful to planning units of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This report attempts to identify the scientific basis for treatment effectiveness and to offer explicit professional judgements regarding the extent of treatment effectiveness by land disposal.
