Environmental Monitoring for Gamma Radiation at the Naval Research Laboratory-1980.

Abstract

The gamma radiation levels at the Naval Research Laboratory were monitored during the calendar year 1980 at the perimeter of the Laboratory as well as areas where sources of radiation were used or stored. The measurements were made using CaSo4: Dy Thermoluminescent dosimeters which were determined to have a reproducibility of + or - 6% (1 S.D.) for each individual dosimeter disc. The results show that the Laboratory has met the requirements of the applicable regulations for radiation levels at an unrestricted area. (Author)
