Time-Domain in Analysis of Lumped/Distributed Networks for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Applications.

Abstract

A new technique suitable for time-domain analysis of a very general class of lumped/distributed networks is introduced. The basic procedure is described and illustrated with examples. The analysis procedure can also be used to generate time-domain models of transmission lines and other structures. This feature is illustrated by generating an exceptionally simple model for lossless transmission lines. Finally, a novel concept using time-varying reflection coefficients is introduced. (Author)
