Fiber Optic Transceiver Design.

Abstract

This report covers the electronic circuits and components needed to implement high performance optical communications systems including: a self-compensated laser transmitter; and LED transmitter with avalanche capability; a high impedance bipolar preamplifier; a digital receiver with AGC and DC restoration and an all-in-one fixed gain, limiting receiver.
