Endurance Testing of Tracked and Wheeled Vehicles

Abstract

This report provides a method of evaluating the endurance of tracked and wheeled vehicles. It prescribes mileage or hours of operation over standard test courses, including land and water, for the various types of vehicles, interspersed with vehicle mission tests. It also covers loads, towed loads, speeds, maintenance, and inspections and use of the tachograph for recording speed, mileage, and operating time, and applies to all types of vehicles except materials handling equipment.
